The closest thing to blacksmithing i've done in a few years... One intact arm and one intact ball holder.
Annealed with the map torch, hammer out both indents, moved holder, hammer new indent, fixed drinking trough.

Jersey heifer and new steer friend due back any day, so new walls, new hack rack (from old sheep hurdles), new corral fence (integrating the crush this time), and repaired and raised drinking trough. The trough supports are a pair out of 3-4 sets that are dotted about the site from decades gone by, long before we owed the place, handy.

The new freezer truck body hasn't been running despite getting power (i can hear the electrical buzz), finally opened it up to discover at some point before us someone has removed the control circuit!?!
Now we've got to attempt to get some money out of the seller as recompense.

Rats had a go at it but cows are still glad of it. Non bottom bales were much better but still only fill belly stuff.
Post calving they get 2018 hay.

Made up a pre-milk drain.

This is part of how they get reregistration of sprays done.
Line up a load of manikins 2 to 12 meters away from where the sprayer will travel, then spray the rest of the field with a cross wind of 3 to 5 mph.
Then measure speacial air traps every 8 hours for 4 days.

She's lovely. mines a little sod she thinks being in a tractor means being on my lap despite having a bed. I wish she was like @mtx.jag s in the lick bucket.......

What variety do you plant/ recommend need to replace a row in garden that dad planted years ago seem to be grown out. Also have some Autumn Bliss (I think) can you move them and if so when.

Had our nfu insurance chap out this morning to go through our policies and beet them down on prices a bit, so pretty much lost most of the morning!
Also after me saying how reliable my iPhone has been on another thread the camera decided to die on it so nipped for an upgrade so as not to deprive anyone of my pics, mmmm new toy (had to take this pic with the iPad before any asks)

And tomorrow’s job landing in, only a minor service so dropped oil on it to help speed things up tomorrow
