My upset with the throw away world has reached new heights.
@Kathy the lamb has been moaning her washing machine has been getting noisy. Today I found a moment to have a look at it, some fair slop in the main bearing..

Oh wait, how do you seperate the outer to get the drum out, there's usually a ring of bolts or some clips

Oh they've made it so you can't repair it, so instead of a 5quid bearing/seal you now have to buy a complete unit for £130.
Looks like a major new purchase is on the cards

Had our washer for 23 years and it was 2nd hand then,with 4 kids and lots of boiler suits to wash it’s done some serious work,had a new water valve and a couple of door handles recently,when I took the lid off it’s great,no pcb’s!!

Yeah they have nothing for this model.
A new washing machine is probably the only cure, the OH reckons it's getting close to ten years old, so it hasn't done bad, although the past few years of washing my garments has probably sent it to its death. So what to go for... I ought to start a "which washing machine" thread
All I know is this one was an Indesit and we are now in de sh it
