My upset with the throw away world has reached new heights.
@Kathy the lamb has been moaning her washing machine has been getting noisy. Today I found a moment to have a look at it, some fair slop in the main bearing..View attachment 833512

Oh wait, how do you seperate the outer to get the drum out, there's usually a ring of bolts or some clips :rolleyes:View attachment 833513
Oh they've made it so you can't repair it, so instead of a 5quid bearing/seal you now have to buy a complete unit for £130.
Looks like a major new purchase is on the cards

They wouldnt let me put it in there dumper so i had to carry it to the on site tip
Just nicely balances
I had to think twice as to spinning round from the dig behind me to facing forwards as there was a building on one side and a 3 mt drop the other but surprisingly it didnt tip when bucket on the side off machine but at front or

If you end up buying a new one, you could use the drum from the old one as a fire pit. You can also use the glass door as a mixing bowl as they're heat proof. Our 20yr old washer died this summer but lives on as the above 2 things!

Thats one way to check the idler rollers ,both sides at the same time

there are load of springs, clips,pipes and seals all worth salvaging. the tin case can also be used to patch wheel barrows - allegedly

Neighbour is an electrician so salvaged these from his skip. Proper recycling

nice pebble , garden feature? we had one some one rooted up subsoiling for spuds when we picked it up with the 530/70 it lifted the back wheels off the floor :rolleyes:
