An entirely unpleasant morning after the chores trying to fix the gland nut on the brass stop cock in this pit, it was level full with water when I started, half full of mud, freezing cold and blowing a hooley whilst I am laying on the moist ground at full length with both arms only able to reach if my head is halfway down the hole too.

We try and graze as much of it as possible. Where we cant get too we will bale and wrap it.

First Post in a while but managed to get drilled up with winter wheat before storm Ciara and Dennis. Brother was out contracting with the 750a so I had to plough and drill the last 50ac on my own quite enjoyed my time ploughing as usually chasing him with the combi. 30acre field ploughed and drilled marvellous after being waterlogged all winter then manged to get rest of a field done we got stopped in December. Few good -3 frosts helped too but a day in the fog wasn't the best for negotiating wet spots. Roll on spring now.

It’s amazing how it saves the tyres dropping weight off when not needed original fronts didn’t do 3000hrs these have done nearly 2000hrs and not even half worn.

Always pleasant repairing stuff that is covered in solidified pig poo and rust.

Been clearing ditches of brash and rubbish, not wanting to make the ditch any wider or deeper so not taking to much out, also put in what i like to call anti gypsy fencing, but at below ground level so as to slow the feckers up should they go in here after its been put in to grass.

Impressed by @Robert K washing his gates the other week I thought that I would try and wash out the drains on the house using 1000L of spare rainwater.

It really did flush a lot of rubbish out.
