Dont say you are using a triple K type cultivator.They were perfect for finding and pulling up stones.
Glacial boulder clay subsoil. They just bubble up every year. You could plough that field and gather stones for 20 years and you would still get more. Most of Scotland is like it.The strange thing is you have got lots of big stones yet overall the field does not look stony. You must be mining them.
We have big stones too but after they are picked the field can still resemble a crop of tatties on the surface with a bit of soil between.
I’ve been ploughing it for thirty years and they get less over the whole farm year on year used to pick them with diggers then stone bears now just two days by hand.
