The way to look at it is the 4 x 4's have got to be lucky every time to avoid you, you've only got to be lucky once to catch them. Do we assume that when the inevitable meeting happens its not going to be pleasant

I pretend a lot.........I have 3 full time men at the moment and a part time wife (part time on the farm - she runs the shop in the other part)
One of these is temporary though as I have to be out of action for a while.

Yeah i know its in the wrong thread but jus couldnt be arsed looking for the thread,

Do think it is just locals forcing their way through to go off roading, or more sinister crews on the scadge?
Either way it's a PITA, but one of the options could bring more pain if caught etc.

How big do the chick pea plants get @Farmer Roy ? Do they close the rows eventually?

like everything else here, there is huge variation due to seasonal conditions, but yes, in a good year they will close the rows on 1 m spacings ( these are on 1 metre rows, but they are grown in any configuration from 250 mm up ) & be somewhere between knee & hip high

No - they are best suited to hot dry climates, which is why they are so popular in the western grain growing regions of northern NSW / southern Qld
