Any idiot bricks this year?
Way to many people doing idiot bricks this year, down here anyway everyone is making them, they’ll be cheaper than straw I reckon 😂
I had 7 text’s this morning asking could me and the wife help move idiot bricks 😂 We were one of the last farms in the area to move from them, I certainly don’t want to go back to doing any soon 😂

Notice a few on here running lely tedders…I have the same and seem to have punctures every time we bloody use it. Just wondering if anyone else getting sane problem?!
We had trouble last year tyre fitter said who repaired it last time I said never had trouble before he said tyres on wrong way came out the factory like it

A bit of pastoral care required today as it was a bit toasty for the picking gang this morning:

To be fair to them, they stuck at it, picking just over a tonne by 12.30. Mostly youngsters too.

What has been a great looking crop all the way through has been partly nobbled by broad bean fly. Riverford will accept up to 20% with fly damage, we’ve been somewhat over that, but they’ve taken them. Fortunately no grubs found or the whole lot would be rejected. Trouble is you can’t see the damage until the pods are opened:
