That job got slightly better. One of the directors has recently bought a property with 13 acres of ground which I have agreed to 'keep tidy ' for him . ...Will be mowing it as soon as the weather settles down again .

Brilliant! Hopefully next year they’ll have another do…..you can make the bales on his land, sell them back to him, then charge to take them away again.
Almost surprised you aren’t charging by the bale to keep the ground tidy for him…!

Still dry here, these lettuce have been in ten day and this is the third pass with the irrigator .

When you go spraying is it 3.5 litres of pesticide per 100 gallons of water to spray 5 acres at so many litres/hectare?
I still drill 1.25 cwt barley per acre with 250kg of fertiliser per hectare, with an 8 ft drill!

Investigated why our water flow had dropped considerably lately this morning, think I found the problem in the pressure limiting valve!! Had checked inlet filter and replaced pressure filter just in case.

It’s not impossible, whatever it was has come from the water source through the inlet filter.

Harvest (and haymaking) not coming along fast enough here, had to break another 5 6 stringers to make small bales for the pigs. 75 bales from the 5 in the end, should last another 10 days or so.

Finished our Linseed at 8 o’clock this evening and the baler at 10 past.
That is 2/3rds of our entire 2021 harvest completed.
