Today a bit of hedge trimming before the rain.
Are they the previous tenants in picture 4?
In my shed the lorry drivers are only going into the egg store, we have shoes for outside, shoes for packing and wellies for walking the birds it might sound a faf but it's second nature now and doesn't take 2 seconds to change we've got separate overalls for when we're in the birds as well, the birds shouldn't be where the lorrys go so it shouldn't be too much of a problem they're all good at disinfecting their wheels as wellAnyone I've been talking to says that about getting them off the floor at night! Also do not let anyone unnecessary into the house due to biosecurity. One man even said to put the egg store away from the main house so that the lorry driver didn't have to go into the house.
We have a contract with a local egg packer and the whole shed was specced by them so not sure about the auto flush.
Yes, we built it 4 years ago , has gone really well, but with getting more contract work I'm going to upgrade the floor chain system this winter. Going to try ' pintle chain' that's what the Yanks seem to use on their lime spreaders. Is that you home built lime spreader. Looks good.
That is until you have to put everything through a chipper. Great if you can make use of the chips but it's far cheaper and easier to lit 'er up.
