At least 6 heavy concrete post, some of them smashed, with hundreds of feet of high tensile wire threaded through them, a 10 foot gate (smashed)

and a ditch. All day clearing up after members of the public smash their cars up and clear off without saying.

No it’s quite the opposite actually, they are far to long but I’ve only just got the bucket so I’ve not had chance to get some new shorter pipes made yet

Officially gulls are not farmland birds , l wish somebody would tell them that . There was also a lot of lapwings 100 + but they don’t seem to be looking for the worms . Considering it is some of the most intensively conventionally farmed land in the country and according to some people the soil is lifeless these birds know different.

He was just flapping a bit not squawking at all.

Outwintering experiment going ok. Fair saving on straw and time bedding. Field is a bit of a mess but really only where the ring feeder is. Can't decide whether it's best moving regularly or keeping it in same spot.

Tried outwintering some Cattle a few years ago and just couldn’t put up with all the mud in the yard when it fell off the tractor tyres

I used my boot to shift the clod I didn’t like the look of its beak.

That’s what I should have done, young and naive back then
