Throttle cable replacement day on my JCB telehandler.
Oh how I laughed when I read the service manual and I quote:-
'Access to the cab end of the cable is limited. Access can be improved by removing the cab front panel'
Oh how I laughed when I had to take the fuel tank off to just get a distant peak at the job in hand.
I had to make yet another 'special' spanner (we've all got one or many!)...

You'll get an insight into working on jcb's if you ever get a look in the toolbox in a jcb fitters van. More modified spanners etc than you can imagine.Hanging by a thread like the sword of Damocles.

Agreed.There is a special place in HELL for JCB designers.
The twunts should be forced to take apart and reasemble their vanity projects, preferably one handed at arms length like a contortionist, usually blindfold, having to 'feel' your way like the rest of us.
I do have sympathy for the fitters however.
