Some highlights from the week. Got the next one in and pulled apart.

Got all the shafts back in but wasn’t happy with the amount of play in the shaft and sprockets key ways so we dropped it back out and cut a new one in the shaft.

Ground down the old key to fill the old key way, new tapered collars and key just waiting for a new sprocket to come and it should be proper again.

Lost a wheel.

Found some better ones.

Squaring up the pulleys before tightening the taper locks and a new set of belts.

Disk arm bushes replaced.

Joining bar in top scrub web had worn and broke inside joiner causing it to start twisting so it got a new bar and bushes in the joining link.

Straightened some web bars.

Rubber flap that stops the boulder box filling with earth and clod had given up so relieved the local conveyor belt place of some off cuts.

Ram seals on front linkage need replacing but pins are seized in the barrel end of ram so after moving spray can away from heat leant a hand on the sledge. Got them moving in the casting but no joy in the ram so think Mondays plan of attack is to cut the pins each side of the ram eye and go from there.

I admire anyone who strips machinery down to that extent and services it up and repairs it . I wouldn't know where to start and if I did I would soon get down hearted . I love seeing pics like this on the thread . Farmers must be the most versatile people in the world ... except me !
I hate spanner work / machinery maintenance . I even pay a bloke to come in regularly and go around my feederwagon with a grease gun and check it over .....same with everything .
My OH goes mad with me .... I've got a workshop full of useful kit ,some still in the box it came in , and never used !

Doesn't the man pay you to come grease your machines for you? I'm sure you and @Robert K or @ColinV6 could come to some sort of arrangement

They would keel over in dire shock to see ' my workshop' ....it makes the inside of my tractors look like new !!

Running out off elevator lats and no new available so got pile of bits laser cut and steadily welding together.
