Today at work

Another boring update sorry, that's it from me for now with the paintbrush updates...

It's been a rush job to complete ASAP due the owner who is poorly we've had it a week and about 80hrs haven't added it up yet.
He should be happy with the finish I hope
It's not a restoration as such more a repaint and make it complete in a practical manner which I think we have done.

I'll post pics of it completed later next week for sentimental reasons.

It always amazes/seems really early to me when many spread their last dose.

By the time the land here is dry enough to travel and I can get the first dose on, then get round with the sprayer, and fit everything else in there are people popping up saying they are on with their final dose…..which to me seems early.

In a normal season I might have second dose going on about now bringing it up to 150kg or so. That may happen in a week or so all being well. Final dose will be nearer the end of month or very start of May.

Just shows every season and every farm are different.
we would normally go though 3 times ,3rd time would be in about 2 weeks time but because we are putting on slightly less this year agronomist said get it on now

Interesting barrier/bunker design with the more "hooped" bars. Do they pull less through like this or is it for bullying maybe?
They’re John Shepherd feeders. Primarily designed to reduce wastage but more importantly for us, badger proof. These were custom made with the gaps between the bars larger than standard to accommodate the head of our rather large Hereford bull.

Stone drain blocked?
There's a problem somewhere on grass margin, had a dig a few weeks ago but couldn't find anything, was going to corner of field to finish off the fert after filling up again and wasn't really looking where I was going and caught the corner of filled in trench and it just pulled me in, will get a better investigation when the digger is back after crop is off and we have more time

It's easy to get caught out
