It only seems like yesterday you last posted .....Friday is upon us once again; it keeps coming round but then I suppose that that is how the calendar works!
What a week, King Kev and cool Hand Luke have been busy on a pump station, Boss Man Chris has been catching up with the estimates and yesterday was out looking at some wet spots near Hinkley.
The pump station works are for a farm on a local estate. When the lads got there and saw the route for the pipe it was a bit of "Oh no, this looks a tad scenic". The route is down the main drive that has a covering of 10mm pea gravel that looks like it is raked level on a daily basis. The lads carefully scraped off the surface layer and started the pipe install. Once through the surface they encountered stone, made for some interesting digging but the lads got through it and the pipe in. they are currently navigating the patio at the back of the property, and this came with a warning not to delete the photos they have sent me as they are going to need them when they replace the slabs to see were the "gravel squares" are!
Boss man Chris and Paul had an eventful day yesterday looking at wet spots in a field of rape. Was only meant to be a day job but on investigation it appears that the rape roots have taken a firm hold of the land drains and are merrily migrating their way into the junctions and along the pipeline. Not the first time we have encountered this, dam roots can be quite troublesome!
Dilly-bob in on holibob today so it has allowed us to open a packet of chocolate Digestives without the fear of them disappearing 2 minutes later. Just need to say a quick HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mrs Dilly Bob, hope you have a fabulous day.
