very happy ladieshad no choice the fields look like a recreation of the somme they were losing condition fluke/black leg is the next worry along with every thing else connected to the continuous damp wet windy weather they were up their knees in mud and the bellowing was enough to drive you mad not to mention the calves are losing condition woke up this morning to complete silence ............priceless
Are you joining the dark side? i.e. keeping pigs?View attachment 584750
Something different this morning.
I'm not a fan of pigs that aren't in sausage form, noisy, smelly things!
As ever green with envy at your soil, drill, press etc etc. Needed that press today in front of my combi.View attachment 585028 View attachment 585030 View attachment 585032 Managed to find a dry enough field to make a start on drilling. Barley on this field.
Big variation in soils within a 16 acre field here. Even that field has a nasty bit of clay in one part. I'll check how fast I'm going tomorrow. I'll post some pics when I get to the heavier part of the farm.As ever green with envy at your soil, drill, press etc etc. Needed that press today in front of my combi.
How fast are you managing to go? Reckon mine would be ~8k in that. Less HP mind. Stuck at 5-6K in cloddy stuff today.
