No, I didnt buy anything, it was just a mile up the road so I went for the social really, that baler seemed good value to me.

Yeah I think we got a bargain. It seems very tidy for it's age. Think I've managed to fix it this morning, just need to find some arms and wheels for the pick up reel and maybe a couple of new tyres then hopefully it will churn bales out for fun

Looks an excellent crop

When was it sown and how much fertiliser has it had?

You obviously missed the rain yesterday, it rained nearly all day here yesterday.
It was sown last April, due to lack of rain it didn't get going very quickly, then the intellectual heavyweight in charge decided to make hay of it, which failed but then it had massively reseeded itself.

100kgN this year so far

Oh blimey it's Friday already! The team have finished getting all the topsoil in at our site in Gloucester. Boss man has had the big toys down there levelling the site ready for the draining to start next week.
3 of the lads have done a proper tidy job Great Alne. A couple of interceptor drains had to go in. Working off of boards is never easy but the job they have done looks very smart. No hiding here, it seemed everyone in the town passed by to ask what was going on and give that "You don't want to do it like that" quote!
We had a chap steadily rolling the type 1 road stone at a site near Stratford. Sorry mate, I did ask the hire company about a cab, radio and air conditioning but all I got back was a pause, a giggle, followed by fits of laughter and then "NO!"" On the bright side he only got wet this morning. :). With the Bank Holiday looming we should have guessed it was going to rain!

Quotes and invoices flying out the door, my teddies flying out the pram!! Been a busy week all round. I for one am looking forward to a 3 day weekend ;)

Been a good week, thanks lads for all your hard work. Have a corker of a weekend whatever you may be up to.

Its still very dry about, so we milked early this morning, then buggered off on holidayView attachment 675104 View attachment 675160Its a plan that never fails and it's currently tipping it down here on the Welsh coast. Hope it reaches all those who want a bit! :)
She doesn't look too happy considering she has an ice cream in her hand. Is the weather a bit cold, or the holiday already off to a bad start?
