Dad carried on combining and I got on with some more baling.

Bazooka not producing as much straw or grain as cassia and is breaking up much more, still 7.5 5ft bales an acre so not to bad.

Then had a fish and chip tea on the harvest field, wifey even brought me beer.

Looks perfect, sunshine, freshly cut field, bales of straw, fish and chips and a beer! (y)

Day three in winter barley. Plenty of dust. Dad returned at lunchtime yesterday. He'd been in North Norfolk for a week and the first combine he had seen all week including driving back was me. I've subsequently been relegated from doing everything to just grain cart and storeman. Just like a championship team moving up to the premier league, and going straight back down. Wonder if I'll get a parachute payment.

Brilliant pictures, nothing quite like stopping for tea with the family, always makes harvest special.

Had the same with hyvido, straw smashed to bits but it is yielding more grain than the glacier. Better bit of ground mind
