Been standing around a ring again today. Another 13 to add to last weeks 13.

Another week down and thankfully some rain., not near enough to be honest but things are looking a little more green.

Been a very busy week this week, all was going well until a lovely bunch of small minded imbeciles decided to smash the windows on our tractors and digger at our site in Lydney. I can honestly say my thoughts and chosen words are not for print. It is even more annoying that we have been there a month and had no problems whatsoever. We should be finished in the next few days, but by the time the lads have cleared the glass away, tidied up the site, taken the photos, repaired the compound, answered a million questions from our insurers, the police, me; a day is lost and in real time that is two! So dam annoying. I hope that every single one of the morons that did the damage stubs their big toe every week for the rest of their lives.

Anyway, on a happier note, as I started saying work has been busy, Lydney is going well, despite the vandalism. The manholes are going in and the drains are being topped up. By all accounts we have a new apprentice on the topping up. Sure, steady and looking good.

Back up Tamworth way again this week, in fact the client we are working for at the moment said we may as well open a yard up there. Boss man was on site when we had another one of those “Oh, whilst you are here moments.” This time another farmer saw us working and called in to ask if we could have a look at draining his field. Boss man asked when would be convenient to book in a meeting and the client said “Now if you can? It’s not that field but the one behind it”. Must have been at least 400 yards from where we are currently. At least it will keep the transport costs down!

Would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to Aggregate Industries in particular Lewis Scott-Wylie for their help this week and putting up with me changing our orders more than I change my socks and still getting us the stone bang on time. Fantastic job, kept the drainer draining and me smiling

All things considered it has been a good week, thanks for all you hard work lads, as always it is greatly appreciated. Have a great weekend and we will see you all Monday, bright, breezy and ready to tackle another week.

I almost never liked your post, but the like is for sympathy and for the positive attitude to it all(y), I always enjoy your weekly round ups of the action, thanks for sharing the rough with the smooth.

As Nick says, I hate leaving kit parked up, but needs must. It is ruddy annoying though when things get smashed! And nothing worse then having to drive a machine with no windows in it! ......guaranteed it will rain and blow a gale...

That’s bloody criminal.buildings all look ok
Nick...
The builders and the site lads said exactly the same ,the stones could have been turned , a big barn conversion would have sold for more than the poxy homes they are going build .
They have got to reuse the stone in every wall that faces my house as thats listed so they must be in caracter with the surroundings
