when did I move to Scotland without anyone telling me? ? find these occasionally, I think they are glacial erratics
I worked in Essex for two summers 30 years ago, one day was told that there was a big stone needing lifted, off I go, telehandler, fork, chain, pinchbar, found a tiddler about the size of a football , then spent an hour looking for a big stone...……. Was surprised I had already found it!

The big question is ...where did all the stuff go? When ever I set about 'clearing a shed out ' it doesn't matter where I put it the OH says " why didn't you put it there in the first place instead of having to move it !! .......they just don't understand do they ? !!!!!

Yesterday: went to Essex to collect an eBay purchase View attachment 854561Then stopped for local cuisine on the way home :View attachment 854562
I try and stay off Ebay, because that's just the sort of thing I'd jump at buying, because I've used one twice in the last three years, and end up not needing until 2025, by which time I've forgotten where I put it!
Which chippy? (I'm a bit of a connoisseur!). Wantz road in Maldon is the best one in Essex at the moment I reckon!

in a village called Sible Headingham , just north of Braintree, . i wouldn't make a special trip to the chippy, but it did kept malnutrition at bay !

you see, that is where is i differ, i saw a professional using one once , and thought 'it cant be that hard , so best have my own :banghead: '

I've a long roll of 6mm screenwash hose with water in. Good for setting levels on small sheds.

Can I pick your brains on powerflushing please?

Chemical flush vs. powerflush vs. magnacleanse

Recently been advised the rads are sludgy and need flushing. There seems quite a difference in price, and I do wonder who knows best and who's pulling the wool.

Thankfully when your post popped up I was reminded there is one plumber I trust and takes pride in his work!! (just a pity you aren't more local!)

Thank you ?
In a way I do all 3, chemicals in after the initial blast around the system with just water in the power flusher then if possible fire the boiler and add a bit of heat. Agitate the rads with a rubber hammer. Then it’s a clean water flush out. All this is done with a big magnet in the system.

mag cleaner picking up the magnetite out of the system.
If the systems has sludge in already a magnaclean type device won’t be up to the job as the sludge will have settled in places the circulating pump in your system won’t shift. well worth putting in a new or cleaned system though.
