Another job done on the plasma.

At a loss to work out what to do with this very late ploughed field (not my fault I hasten to add)
Scenario, 2 inches of concrete on top of custard. Sprayed off 10 days ago when it was mostly custard.
First job - try and fill in some of the wheelmarks...
then do the whole thing with an old vibro-flex, not nearly new or shiny enough to excite most charcters on here but it cost £400 20 years ago and it had a new set of points last year.
I may have to power harrow it next but the power harrow had to be in too deep to cut up all that concrete cap, it may drill and harrow after - just like the old days.

Ours is either custard or rock hard but the power harrow will leave it level with plenty of tilth
Helping out a friend for the last couple of days, roped in my boy as he's home from uni so he got put on the plough, did a fair job for his first time. Started him off yesterday and today I followed behind with a subdisc. Bottom end couple of acres were underwater a week ago, the field was a bit stiff in places but isn't working too bad.
I did manage to snap a couple of bolts on one of the legs but it was time to pack up and let it just dry off a bit more.
Ye Gods, I have never seen so many dog walkers than there were today, quite amusing to watch them try to figure out where they could walk especially as they were nowhere near the bridlepath that cuts across the field, nowhere near where they had climbed through the fence
