Granny and sucking eggs here niw maybe but you do know that there’s usually a procedure for tightening them clamp bolts back? On Volvo BLs it was a certain torque, wait sonething like 30 minutes, another torque and a final angle tighten. On another note we’ve had to do the two slew rams on our NH in last 18months!!
Thank you, I wasn’t aware there’s a specific procedure. Biggest concern at the moment is making sure the caps are properly located on the clamp rams. It will be properly tightened tomorrow when I can move it out of the rain.

Desperate to get the grass clover ley in, but its flipping wet, with more on the way. Bit of head scratching and the old alvan blanch grass box was pressed into service on the smallest tractor.

Turned out also to be the perfect match for the 6m grass harrows to follow up. I intend to do all my farming at 36 horse power from now on!

It was a lovely sunny day here in sunny Essex, the straw was too wet to even flip over so lets go muckspreading....

Things going well until I got back to the heap for load number 8.

a full half inch in the 10 minutes it takes me to get rid of a load, abandoned ship at that point.

Back to doubling (or more) the value of the cultivator I found in the bushes the other week. The yard had dried by then.

It is always suspect to ask someone who has spent a heap of money on something for their honest opinion.

However I will try; it is heavy - I have a 741 as you see but wouldn't want it on my 627.

A couple of the chaps on the farm have used it extensively as well as me and so their opinion is possibly more value than mine - the answer is - sell the fork grapple, this is great.

I have done a lot with it too, both in the heap and fresh out of sheds, since we have had a spreadabale our cattle muck won't really work with the old grapple on a fork but it still rolled forward most of the time when using a general purpose bucket without the grapple. None of thos problems worry this bucket grapple at all, a full load every time, you can go up to a wall with it too unlike the old fork and grapple.

This is an x-Form bucket (Cherry) and it won't bend or break ever as far as I can see.

Well I am looking at the jcb one to go on a 1987 jcb 3cx and find the 8 ft dung grab good. But it has its limitations when I am composting the dung so
How do you find the weight compared to your old grab as that’s the worry I have as the jcb 3cx has a 2.2 tonne lift approx and would max it out every so often with the dung grab.

Got to play with some new toys today...

He also brought out their latest new product range - the 40v system. We had a cordless grinder and an SDS drill with detachable dust extractor system. Both were very impressive.

I did ask about the cordless grease gun but he didn’t know any details at the moment.

That drill looks a monster.
