I’ve half the silage but only 1/4 the straw at best.
I am a bit short on straw too which is bizarre since I am surrounded by arable farmers and baled way more acres than usual last yearI’ve half the silage but only 1/4 the straw at best.
Candlemas day, traditionally half way through winter, you should have half the straw and half the hay now.
290 bales left, well under half but should just about do I hope.

Pretty good with rabbits although you have to be disciplined when they are moved in. I use the heap from the side so move it in everytime a row is used. They have about a foot of chicken wire on the grond outwards at the bottom. Some rats in there at present though and I wonder if a rabbit or two hasn't got in lately when it all blew over the other week. How effective are your netted frames at keeping the vermin out? Got some wholecrop bales that have been well chewed!
My father always used to say that’s saying.Candlemas day, traditionally half way through winter, you should have half the straw and half the hay now.

I think that I had a post about i last year too. I always think of it on the 2nd of February although I suspect that the half refers to people who keep a lot of stock indoors in the spring and summerMy father always used to say that’s saying.
Have not heard anyone mention it until today Brought back memories he past away pass the way in 2008 .

Nice job, pity those hydraulic hose unions aren't at exact right angles to the folding rams. PDI man needs his wrists slapped.Mesh riveted on
