Trimming a narrow lane which is a popular rat run, something moved under the ivy as I went down the first run.
Couldn‘t risk leaving it as gravity was bound to win at some point, so managed to manoeuvre the head under it. Main concern was if it was too heavy for the McConnell:

And before you say anything @Steevo, yes, I was nearly stumped!

Looks like you quickly got to the root of the problem!

Glad you spruced the place up and didn’t leaf it where it was. 😆

Wet day job.... inbetween welding a bucket, wheel bearing on tractor and washing another tractor but no photos as the bucket was a bodge to wait for a new sheet, the bearing a rush job and no way was I risking my phone in the deluge!!

It’s a Ford 655 side window

Outwintering in an old quarry. That's the setup I want. This one still used though? Will you bring in for calving or whole job on the hill?
I tend to use the quarry do my digging jobs in summer when cows out and days are long , I try and finish digger work by October and leave the quarry square and tidy for wintering the cows in, they are not due until may so I will just calve them where they are and move them onto fresh land after calving give that bit a rest , it’s so cheap and easy it’s great I fully recommend it but these Herefords are especially suited to our wintering they so tough .
