Thanks @Muddyroads . I've long been interested in buying a Moore Unidrill but they're always miles away when they come up for sale, and seem to have gone up in value a fair bit lately, if ebay prices are anything to go by (!). From your photo it looks like you were doing two passes, so is it an arable / wider spacing model that you have? Sorry for asking lots of questions but I'm really interested in these drills.

Another early start......changing flood irrigation at 3am. (You have no idea what sleep deprivation is until you've done a season irrigating with gravity flood irrigation). No point going back to bed for an hour.....

It’s probably the only bit of kit I’ve bought that’s gone up in value!
The picture was taken on a headland so I can see why you’d think I was cross drilling. I‘d do that if I was doing a longer term reseed. This was just a short term ryegrass top up before going into veg in the next year or so.

Chance to catch up on some accounts while it’s raining. By crikey my wife can spend! 😱

I thought it was only my accounts that looked like that. I feel a whole lot better now. If we don't have an amazon delivery on a daily basis they will probably send someone round just to make sure my wife is alright. I get told that it is cheaper than having children (obviously we have none) and we haven't been on holiday since 2001 so a 'few pounds here and there' is nothing to moan about and your tractors and machinery will last a long time yet.

Go steady. Sleep deprivation is a killer.
