Once round and a call from the good lady to say she had a ewe in difficulties. Got back just after she’d managed to get the lamb out.

Pretty good going for a lady who hadn’t set foot on a farm until 5 years ago and has spent the last 34 years working in IT. You can’t just switch sheep off and on again if they go wrong!

I'd heard that cement was short. Either way concrete is difficult to get.

The clever people are predicting some rain for the coming week for the southern coast of South Africa. Its bone dry but lets plant on some faith. Pasture based dairy farm. 3000 cows and additional roughage sitting around 120 tons dry feed per day. Its not fun.

T1! Wow, that seems early, especially given the cold season so far.

I guess that was planted fairly early.

T0 here this coming week, then T1 is 10-14 days away.
