I haven't seen that before but I think @Cab-over Pete has got me beat there hands down!

I cook alot not because of my love of it (as I spent a lot of time with my grandmother, who was a fantastic cook), but my wife works all day and is pretty knackered when she gets back home so an hour out of my day that could save her two in the evening is a no brainer.

My daughter's friends are constantly getting fast food fed to them 3-4 times a week so I wanted to teach her how taking a little time you can prepare wholesome flavorful food.

Also my boy took some stick from some pupils in his secondary school that he was wrong to be a farmer as they were vegetarian/vegan (each to their own), he was down so our objective was to show him what we produce is vital for a balanced diet, and to respect the animals crops by cooking a good meal.

Sorry a bit long winded but the need to educate the young so that our industry can thrive and continue is vital that we start asap.

Could have done with some pies like that earlier in the year!!! I'm not sure whether my attempts at cooking made the OH worse or spurred her on to get better quicker ...I never turned out anything as good looking as that and I bet it tasted lovely . ......you should have got your lad to invite his vegan friends around ,I bet they would have struggled to resist that one 😊😊😊

Thank you for your kind words. But DO NOT under any circumstances get telling my wife about your cooking to save your wife time!!!!!

Your crops look very healthy but I am just a livestock framer so not qualified to judge. Do you think that your soil has been less exploited than in many other places and that makes a difference?
I think you and @Muddyroads are both doing a great job with the veg production.
My crops look healthy because I am a fantastic farmer plus I never post any of my bad crops of which we have our share. Our oldest fields have been cropped for not much more than 30 years but I think that isn’t a factor. If you look at our soil analysis you wouldn’t plant anything the ph is around 8.8 and Potassium is at toxic levels. We grow at three crops on the same land per year all residues are worked back into the soils we don’t spray much in the way of herbicides and we use no more than 300 kilos of fertilize per hectare per crop as we like the roots to work having good soil helps but it’s really easy to mess up good soil.
