12bales /acre of barley straw has soon filled the old piggeries. 800 ish bales cleared over the last two days.

Looking forward to using decent straw without the cardboard bits later in the year.

Thanks. Photos tend to hide the true picture. The piggery with the small doors was for sows and young pigs up to weaning at 5 weeks. Built in 1984. The other wider frontage is the Suffolk piggery of 1972. Not sure why it was called that, but I guess it was a style from that area. All I have done is remove the internal walls and repaired the roof when needed to make use of an otherwise redundant building.

Yes if you go round front there will be a big smiley face stacking them bales they're not idiot bricks

I have a lot of under 4’s by the coast that grow serious amounts of grass yet the 10+ acres next door are to open and don’t show grass until May.
