Put some nitrogen on rape this morning in the rain.easier to see the tramlines when it’s damp.rained pretty much all day but less than a MM in rain gauge.also managed to fall of the steps of spreader when washing it,landing with a lump on my side.dont feel too bad but expecting to feel stiff in the morning.things happen so fast so stay safe.

I know these built in units look nice and are clean etc, but there a pain to work on, especially when the top doesn’t come off, working by feel alone and with water involved is always testing

I guess It’s to fit the high speed gearbox! 165 upwards have the reduction epicyclics in the trumpet housing so the diff is spinning fast. 35 and 135 etc have the reduction in the gearbox. If you want a fast tractor you need a 165 gearbox in a 135 or a 135 axle on a 165

The 165 and upwards had high gearbox as they have reduction axles

The below 165 uk had standard speed boxes with rear rectuion hub on gbox

This is a direct fitment for a larger 100 series to make it a period 4x4 conversion

After a damp morning it turned into a cracking afternoon. Almost finished the barley now just a few acres left. It’s my wedding anniversary today so I had some company for a couple of hours which was lovely
