Looking well!
Then after breakfast ………..!Better get some LED lights fitted too - these 16 hour days will probably be half worked in darkness!
Even I remember doing it and I’m over half your age! Wasn’t long ago I loaded a few of the last ransomes we had onto the scrappyOMG, how things have changed! I can just about remember many hours spent bending over a wicker hamper, clearing a drill, as the tractor passed our team of pickers, lifting the next.

I did a lot of it as a youngster, dad had a woman heavily pregnant picking, next morning she couldn’t pick as she’d given birth, by lunch she was back picking @JLLM may remember the family - they still visit us every so oftenLong time ago now and still in my early twenties. A local farmer harvested in a group of us from my regular local. It all sounded quite easy to us jack the lads; hard cash for just picking a few spuds and no tax to pay.
Farmer picked us all up first thing next morning and when we arrived in his fields there was already a small team of women that were already working for him. Never worked so hard in my life; as fast as we picked he was lifting the next drill with his magic machine, that lifted, separated spuds from the earth and dropped them back onto the ground.
As we reached the end of the day, aching in places we didn't realise we had, the farmer approached me n my mate and said that the other guys were not worth their salt but if we would both turn up tomorrow and work with the women he would up the cash reward. Well, in for a penny, in for a pound!
So, turn up we did and joined the ladies. We soon leaned to spread our legs and stoop from the hips, in stead of the small of our backs, but I'm bluddy sure that the farmer drove that tractor a lot faster.
Boy, did we sleep good those nights!
No, i like a curve or twoon the phone or rolling a fag ?
