Most of the hay and straw is sold straight off field or into shed then back out. Got a big shed west of Hereford which I've filled up ...emptied and refilled plus sheds on 4 farms which I rent where sheds are all full up. Have about 200 cattle . How many have I made...I've got no idea but I turn nothing away !
Just cleared up 161 silage bales I was asked to remove from field . Had another phone call today about 76 round bales hay which are still in the field but good hay and would I take them away .
Answer is always yes !

Do you have adverts posted all around Herefordshire?!

"HAY AND STRAW REMOVALS - NO FIELD TOO BIG OR SMALL"

Strikes me the farmers of Herefordshire are incredibly wasteful generous. I've never known a farmer give ANYTHING away, let alone 10 or so of them give 50+ bales away each.

Day 2 of the autumn buffer feeding, the some of cows have learned that they are not all that keen on this haylage and that a nice bit might come out of the machine anytime soon.

Your smart dog facilities aren't in danger of being lost I hope?
Yes, they will be dismantled and moved to a new location once we find one. Phase 3 now on hold until we know. The shed will return to a slightly improved shell.

We've not given up as yet, but mentally preparing to go. You could say we currently have our coats on but still haven't left ;)

Some very neat work there , and not being critical at all but you may just save yourself some HSE trouble if you can squeeze another strand of barb around the slurry pit , been there got the tee shirt ! https://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/ais9.pdf
