@Hfd Cattle how are you getting on with the new rake? I'm still on a single rotor and finding things painfully slow this year with more ground to try and cover with it.
Good . I've already bent it and broken a light 😌😌 but a huge difference for rowing up .
Not sure I got it set up properly so got Vicon rep coming out to go through it with me. The book / manual is hopeless.

All sounds good- am slightly torn here as we do a good amount into idiot bricks as well which the single rotor is ideal for swath size wise. I baled behind a tin rotor a couple of years ago in some heavy swaths- baler coped ok but the sledge couldn't.

Did a few idiot bricks last Yr but used the lely Combi for rowing up for them.
Have been asked to do 500 for someone this Yr so will possibly do the same thing .....it teds it and rows it up at same time which I think makes nicer hay in small bales .
For the big bales whether round or Square the twin rotor is a godsend. ! The time and diesel saved is a big plus .

Somethings not right looking at those rows
PTO Speed?
Never used a twin rotor so probably something completely different but have to tell my rake man to go at 450-460 rpm every year or else it throws it too far over and makes it lumpy like that.
Next year he’s back at 540rpm for first half field!!

Running rake at about 420 ish . It runs perfectly the starts missing some .🤷‍♂️
Trouble is each time I've used it so far I've been under pressure to crack on ! Not had a real chance to fiddle about with it..
....hopefully next week........
