Plums I think. Although maybe apples. Lots of fruit. We just fill it with plums and shut the lid. Yeasts on skins do the rest. Sit it in the sun and watch it bubble away. Once it settles down, electric drill with special chopping tool minced it all and I fish the stones out. Resulting brew is fairly keen.
Funnily we have been thinking what to do with all our pear, apple and plum fruit.
Was looking at possibly making cider..

Cider I think works well if you freeze then thaw the fruit. Do you use the natural yeasts, or beer / wine yeasts?

As it rained yesterday , we went to the seaside
Took the opportunity to do some over the hedge farming and had a proper afternoon out riding around the Lincolnshire countryside and ended up at Mablethorpe. It was grey, cold and overall grim

2 weeks a go mine wanted a fire pit, 3 spot welds to join 2 super single steel rims together and I was back on the ciders and warmer.
