Yes, it's a lovely stretch of coast, but not over popular which suits us. We've hired a caravan at Reighton Sands for a week - was supposed to be here earlier in the year, but had to postpone due to lockdown.
I live and farm near Filey, so know the area well !!. Little bit of a story, when they built the golf course just to the back of the camp, had to go and mend a dumper on the site one still Sunday morning in November very clear view across Filey bay and it is a hell of a view, the following Sunday morning wos on the glass walk way over looking the grand canyon, our lass said what do you think ,I said it's a hell of a big hole but there's a better view at home .

Go to grand canyon, when I went it was thick snow at the top ( we were actual snowed in and couldnt leave, so did an unplanned walk to the bottom for something to do) . pleasant climate at the bottom. the colours change by the hour due to shades shadows etc.
Was weird. When we visited the Grand Canyon the sun was just setting. Was loads of static in the air. Peoples hair was literally standing on end.

When we visited the Grand Canyon (October ) you couldn't see your hand in front of your face for heavy mist They all said it would clear very shortly , but we ran out of time for the plane . Then , Sod's Law , just as we were boarding the mist lifted . The pilot did take us a little out of his way to look down there , as a bit of compensation for missing the main show . The Hoover Dam was well worth the look though .

We drove there from Las Vegas. Stopped off at the Hoover dam on the way. We were struggling for time. Didn't have anywhere booked to stay that night so was in a rush to see it then get somewhere to stay.

Ended up staying at this little place on route 66 called William's. Met some interesting locals in the bar. Some of them Vietnam war veterans. Enjoyed that night in that little bar far more than any of the glitzy places in Vegas.

Test elf. Since him I've done another nine. Tornament season starts this weekend. I've got my first competition in a fortnight, and still plenty left to paint. Very exciting.

Games, new gandalf hat, drinking.

Grand Canyon visit , arrived at hotel in the dark, (November) just getting light after breakfast so out to the Canyon but it was thick fog. Walked through to the back of the visitor centre and down to the railings, couldn’t see a thing. Jus beginning to be annoyed when suddenly the fog cleared in a few seconds and.......Christ we were right on the edge of the sheer drop, absolutely took our breath away !

On a second visit some years later we went for a helicopter ride, but they had banned flying inside the canyon by then so it was not as spectacular as we had hoped.
