Isn't the weather strange just now?

I was in the Borders on Thursday and outside Edinburgh today - sorry no pictures,. Both days it has been 4-5degrees cooler than at home.

I see that it has been 19.5 in the Lake District - and probably cooler at the top of Kirkstone? - yet it was over 25 in SW Scotland.

I don't know about your farm but mine is burning up and grass is disappearing.

And the dry south isn't...............

Yeah was around 20 in the lakes today it got warmer as the day went on. Got back to Carlisle and it was 24.

We are pretty dry at the best of times so it’s getting pretty critical on some rain for us. We’ve had nothing for 2 weeks now of dry hot weather.

Today went to Lowther castle and it was fantastic! Never been before considering it’s on my doorstep!

Highly recommend it for a family trip out.

Day out at Brooklands Museum, Surrey. Highly recommended. Great to see lots of old racing cars, planes, bikes, buses. Also learning about the history of the old circuit. Great tour on Concorde, which is a plane that still inspires the children, even though they have never seen it fly. A bonus was a parade of VW Corrados from the mid nineties.
