i would have luved one , i only had a mk 2 1600 sport , great fun , wish i still had it!
I had a Mk 2 1600 sport too 👍

First car I bought (always had a van before that).
They were in short supply in those days - had a blue one on order for ages which never turned up. Went past Johnson's in Gainsborough one day and they had a red one on the forecourt. Turned round and went in and did a deal.

Like you say, a great car 🚗

You want a 911, XKR, SVR or something like an old MG or Triumph.
What sort of a mid life are you having? sounds like your 70s or 18th. Get a grip man.

PS When I bought 'a car' I was accused of having a MLC. I said I hope it is my mid life, and it is definitely not a crisis.
Unfortunately budget wouldn't stretch to any of them.

I want something I can thrash the living daylights out of and push to the edge.

I'm not a good enough driver to take a 911 to its limits. Plus you know the joke about the hedgehog and the 911?

Hope you're heart is OK.......

.......TBF, I'd have thought they might also have been worried by the fact that you appear to have 3 legs 😱
Haha they think so, I have picked up paroxysmal arterial fibrillation in the last 18months, so basically irregular irregular heart beat. They think it could be a function of the stress of the last 2 years since and since I had my svt. They are just doing all the tests to make sure it’s not caused by something structural. Otherwise it’s beta blockers and something I have to live with.

A day out with the family at the Bath & West Show today.
I've not been for absolutely years so it was nice to go again. Timed it about right, as we left it started to spit with rain!

Got my farm assurance inspection done on Thursday, milked the cows and the OH announced she'd organised cover and we were going to London for a few days. Shes been on I need a break for almost a year now, but we've never made time, today we did. 🙂

Yes, me. :)
4 Golds, 2 Silvers and best in show (apple juice). Taking apple juice from Cheshire to Bath and West and coming away with a prize is proper nice, it makes me chuffed to bits.
Besides that, it was a nice day out with the missus, son and grandson and always worth it just for that. I would happily spend a whole day testing cider and eating pasties any day of the week. It is a really good agricultural show and takes more than one day to see it properly. We had a really good day but saw about half of it if that. I hope it continues to be as good as it is and have missed it through covid.
I did watch one of the shearing rounds, those guys are fit as fleas aren't they. I said to my son that I wouldn't want to do that all day but we concluded it's not a million miles from cutting cabbages which I spent a 40 years doing. Too old and fat for that game now. :D
