It’s not been a vintage season for Exeter this year, but play next season like they did today and things should improve. A great atmosphere to round things off.

36 hours to go. As I'm an idiot, I included four troops in my army *which don't have official models*.

So pliers, knife, and some "green stuff" which is a two part epoxi modelling clay. And voila, some custom made models for Saturday.

Two nights painting to go.

The Beeb have been filming Father Brown in our village and will be for the next week. They did shoot a scene our house. While they were setting up, My wife was taking Elaine Paige round the garden. What a thoroughly nice lady she is! . Unfortunately, since COVID, she doesn’t sing any more.

Last gig for a while. Went to Blenhiem Palace to see David Gray. Been waiting 2 years for this and it was worth the wait. White Ladder was/is a bloody good album.
This chap supported, along with Nerina Pallot, not sure who he is though! 😀

This morning the East Anglian Classic Historic Rally in support of Essex Air Ambulance and organised by the Motorsport Club of Chelmsford featuring 48 classic cars came through the village at minute intervals

It was great to just stop for an hour on a Saturday morning and pass some time with my neighbours

"Classic" means pre 1999 and as I reminisced I found it hard to realise how old the cars and I were becoming !
