That'll be OK because the UK can also put huge tariffs on unfair food imports [all food imports]. If we can't do this kind of thing, what is the point of leaving the EU?

And non eu countries can flood our market with cheap food imports brought about by desperate trade deals .. low inflation by cheap food is too tempting for any government to ignore ..
Food prices are dictated by the consumer, not the producer ..

Be interesting to know how many of the top spec 170hp kubota there are about.think the youngsters who drive tractors will allways go for jd or fendt if given the choice
Nick...
We have one,the 171 kvt (vario),and so far so good. Its performance has been impressive in the field and the savings over, say a JD or Fendt, was quite healthy.5 year warranty and servicing up to 3000 hours included.

I'll give you £200 for the front links and PTO as seen in our avatar. Including fitting.

I am the consumer who dictates the price you get.

no you are "one of" the consumers - you can offer him £200 but if another consumer offers more you wont get it

un manipulated free markets are not something UK agriculture is over familiar with it seems

Ah! What's good for the goose isn't acceptable to the gander.
So I take it you don't want to sell on my terms?
But it's not a valid argument..
My point is food prices are dictated by consumers. Shoppers will always buy cheap.
A trade deal with a non EU country will obviously include food imports... one sided tariffs simply don't exist in a trade deal.
Seeing as most non EU counties can produce food at a fraction of the cost, and any UK government will encourage low inflation via cheap food, and we need trade deals, we need to get real, Brexit will not make the UK shopper rush out and hail UK farmers has heros...
I'll reject your offer and sell my linkages to Germany, where there are 000 of potential customers .. or France, or Spain..

In that case I withdraw my offer and you have lost a sale.
Best of luck with your relocation.

:ROFLMAO:
I know it's not your meaning and was tongue in cheek, but would you mind removing the final 2 words - they might give undeserved air to a certain fringe (Jo Cox Murder)?

You've got to be kidding! No. And its not a reference to that, as you know. Its a slight re-write of the now ridiculous message by POTUS, "America First" which should be very much at the front of anyone's mind when they consider doing a trade deal that benefits the UK after Brexit. Its not going to happen folks! They only want trade deals that give a significant net benefit to themselves. They are not interested in doing deals which benefit "shithole countries", which includes the UK .
