Feel free to move this to off topic but thought I’d put it here.
1) am I just being an old fashioned fart but what the hell is the thinking behind the drag act why is it being forced onto our youngsters I saw the ad on afternoon tv on channel 4 in amounts to a child’s tv programme? Seems like everywhere you look these days there are men glammed up as women I’m not talking about genuine trans I mean the over the top drag acts
2) if the people who eat this are so against meat eating why is it dressed up as meat and not the soulless foul looking stuff it truly is

Thing is, it isn't aimed at rural white folks of a certain age. They are targeting their audience, the urban young.

Compare that to the advertizing campaign we are currently paying for via our levy. A 1950's view of life. The very fact that folks on here think that it is a good advert, tells you just how clueless we are.

I'd say that they are appealing to the people who are trying to be "cool and trendy" - which basically , the majority of adverts try to do.

I get that but why is it seen to be cool and trendy to dress as a massively over the top drag queen? It’s almost as if they want our young generation questioning their gender!
still doesn’t answer why all the veg/vegan food ads dress it up as meat

You actually sound like an intelligent, hacked off, younger person who doesn't like junk food shoved at them, @Lofty . These ads are seen through by many, but there will be some who begin to exert pester power over a parent or guardian. Keep eyes peeled for where that product is positioned in the retail environment.

Does the advert say where the soya was grown to make that tofu (or tofu-like substance)?

You can't dispute the strapline; "Like nothing else". But looks like it gives you a sex change as well.
Maybe more truth in that than we might think.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in the future we find that terrible diets full of hyper processed crap have very adverse affects on hormone balances and sexual/fertility/reproductive development in people.

This sort of thing never did me no (lasting) harm, apart from being beaten up by my sister when I called them a bunch of jessies.

There's known reproductive problems due to a lack of vitamins in vegan diets.
I've also started noticing a lot of errm....errrr......same sex couples appearing on various TV programs recently too.
Human race heading for extinction at this rate. 🤷‍♂️
My new age Steiner friends on my milk round were warning decades ago that hormones getting into the water supply from contraceptive pills would render us all infertile. I think they were probably right

Feminisation in fish populations has been observed in a number of field surveys and linked to Ethinyl estradiol the main active ingredient of contraceptive pills. So who knows what it can do to humans. 👨‍❤️‍👨👩‍❤️‍👩

I have heard it cited as one of the reasons for the declining salmon population on our river here, the Hampshire Avon. There are an awful lot of houses been built upstream, especially MOD housing for younger families and starter homes, which I would guess would be releasing more of the hormones.

this whole sh!t food thing makes you think, i thought the gov wanted to steer the public away from processed food!
They’ll never do that. Every time a food product gets handled or processed someone makes money and pays taxes. Governments don’t want us living passed retirement age to become burdens on society. Better to have us die off once we stop contributing to to exchequer and leave our savings and assets to the next generations to be taxed. No different than culling the cow once she cant be milked anymore.

Natures way should stop the dodgy genes from breeding but seems every gay couple and their dog have kids.
