It is no surprise crops are now showing signs of draught stress its too hot for me now in sunny and very hot Dorset . Cold beer and shade and bbq are going to be the order of the day as was spraying podstick from first light this morning followed by baling and wrapping silage so done my bit for the day .

I decided to demonstrate my British superiority so I waited until it was at its hottest, put on my pith helmet and went tedding with the 434 with the noise amplifier cab. Got to set a good example. Funnily enough, everyone else kept out of the way.

Strange here, as just when you think it's getting hot, it clouds over and with it a cold enough wind. Shorts and T shirt have been replaced by jeans and thicker shirt. It's the wind here that's really drying things out. Been windy all week.

Too hot? It only hit 23 C at the most today in East Dorset. Been fencing all day. Ground is still quite moist below about 10 inches and piles were going in not too bad, by hand i mean.(y)
