Agreed, the brushless is a brilliant tool.

I was never impressed with my first LXT model, just had no real grunt, still useful, but only when it was absolutely necessary. But, I got caught out on a job a few months back, and didn’t have any 3ah batts to fit it, but really needed the grinder, so I thought, in for a penny in for a pound, and I trimmed the lug out of the battery slot, so it now takes 4&5ah batts, it’s transformed it into the tool it should have been, it still not as good as a brushless model, but it doesn’t give up so easily now:)

Thats the problem with them they give up , the red one wont

Any makita tools now I buy ,I get with 5ah ,,they have a 6ah but for the price and run time ,its expensive .
Been some good deals on makita cordless on Anglia Tools and FFX .
