Thats the problem with them they give up , the red one wontAgreed, the brushless is a brilliant tool.
I was never impressed with my first LXT model, just had no real grunt, still useful, but only when it was absolutely necessary. But, I got caught out on a job a few months back, and didn’t have any 3ah batts to fit it, but really needed the grinder, so I thought, in for a penny in for a pound, and I trimmed the lug out of the battery slot, so it now takes 4&5ah batts, it’s transformed it into the tool it should have been, it still not as good as a brushless model, but it doesn’t give up so easily now
Seen the price of itthe new twin bat 9 inch grinder the one going for next should be a cracker
The new 9inch is £300 bare unitnot yet ,,, just had some 5 amp bats at 65 each
This is the cheapest Ive foundgess as much will have ring round makita will want to promote it so should discount somewhere
