Tools for shed assembly.

We have a kit building coming soon. Would like to have a crack at putting it up ourselves. Can all the steel work bolts be done up using an impact gun? - if so What size impact gun should one use?

What’s the best tool for cutting plastisol sheets?

What tools are a must?

I use a small 285 Makita wrench as it’s quite compact but still take breaker bar to check and use in tight areas, cut most tin with a 136 mm metal circular saw which is good but bloody noisy, again makita, gets through blades fairly but does a better job, eye protection is a must! Podger for pulling and tweaking to get holes to line up, 17mm hole saw for purlins in case something is punched a bit out

Make sure the circular saw you use has a decent sized fine blade - you want to try and keep heat away from the edge otherwise in years to come you'll see it peeling back and the tin rusting. We've previously brushed cut joints with a 'jenolite' type anti rust paint on assembly. Also used a small 4" disc grinder for tight cuts and a makita sheet metal nibbler

+1 on decent eye protection

Try overlap the sheet rather than cut I. E back lap them.

my friends builds them so I get him to do bolt boxes I do rest. This time I got him to do roof sheeting too

I had a lad putting a shed up for me and he was obviously struggling.
I asked him if he knew what a podger was, he said he did.
"Well why the feck haven't you got one then!"

You need a podger!
