All sorts of good places to buy tools online. It certainly wouldn't be a short list.

For example, I bought some Bessy clamps recently from RS. That was making up an order of some electrical components to the free delivery threshold and were actually one of the cheapest places I had found for the clamps.

Halfords sockets sets are good and have life time guarantee, get a trade card for best deals, have to set it up in store but once you have it order online. Shop around if you can wait for offers and when you see a deal jump on it...... SGS have some good stuff like many places some stuff is great some is garbage and a lot depends on your budget and usage.......

Keep an eye on Facebook or eBay for second hand and job lots. Bargains do pop up, look closely at lots of old tools can get done good quality tools in amongst a heap of poor ones but it's often handy to have a box of old cheap spanners about for when you might need to modify one for a special job.

That's a fair comment, I got lucky on a big box and job lot at a factory clearance few year ago, just a few weeks ago I got few sets of record stilsons on ebay a few mile away for 15 quid when I put my details in turned out the guy knew me and dropped them off 2 pairs were like new he'd just bought them for one job. Got an 18" beta adjustable spanner like new for 5 quid delivered.
