Toothache

Never had one in my life but think this must be it today :( pain going from jaw up to my eye. Anything in the house that would do anything for it? Have chewed cloves, ate nurofen, swallowed Co codomal washed with salt .....

If you go down the alcohol route hide the pliers. Know a guy who drank a bottle of whisky then pulled the offending tooth, then wasn't sure, so pulled a few more.......
Woke up with only one front tooth and a raging hangover!

Ring Craigavon hospital @ridger they have an emergency dental thing and could give you a temporary fix.

Only solution is a trip to the dentist. A wisdom tooth went during lambing time. Nothing would stop the pain until eventually the nerve rotted out. Then went in and they pulled the remaining three roots out.

Sometimes a cold or virus will cause a temporary flare up of a dodgy tooth, but if it's real toothache you will know about it and dentist is only solution. I just get them to pull them for a few quid. No messing with crowns and bridges.

If it's at the back of your mouth it could be a wisdom tooth trying to break through your gum, had one years ago (same sort of symptom) & the only thing the dentist said was keep bathing ( rinsing it) with salt water to soften the gum so it can come through easier, luckily it did the trick after a few days.
But don't talk to me about tooth aches have had one since the summer I think I have a cavity in the tooth as it seems to ease & comes back again, too frightened to see a dentist due to the the cost these days, but will need to see one very soon!! Nurofen does the trick for me when it starts to get too bad. Hope yours soon gets better.

I had the worst toothache I’ve ever had two wks ago , went to the dentist and was told I have three options .
1 pull it out
2 take antibiotics and have the same problem in 6 months time
3 root canal
I went for the 3rd option as didn’t really want to loose my tooth , I’m not a big fan of having my teeth messed with but I didn’t feel a thing and wish I had gone sooner and got it sorted.
Mind you I don’t know what my dentist uses for anesthetic but even my forehead and ear was numb for about 4 hours
