Toothache

If it is coming from the jaw line it could be a nerve problem which is quite common , or it could be neuralgia which also causes a lot of pain from the jaw upwards towards the eye, I had that once and the pain was bad, luckily I got in at an emergengy dentist who prescribed me some anti biotics. It did ease it .

If its sharp pain and comes and goes , probably a abscess . Don’t leave it too long. My dentist missed my problem and it turned into a sinus infection

If it's at the back of your mouth it could be a wisdom tooth trying to break through your gum, had one years ago (same sort of symptom) & the only thing the dentist said was keep bathing ( rinsing it) with salt water to soften the gum so it can come through easier, luckily it did the trick after a few days.
But don't talk to me about tooth aches have had one since the summer I think I have a cavity in the tooth as it seems to ease & comes back again, too frightened to see a dentist due to the the cost these days, but will need to see one very soon!! Nurofen does the trick for me when it starts to get too bad. Hope yours soon gets better.
@Gordy1 you might have to travel a bit for these, but NHS, affordable and not snotty about it - also rather good.

Have had cellulitis, chest infection and cold in the past 5 weeks, it's been a rough run
Sorry to hear that hope it didn't spoil Christmas to much.

The bone between your nose and cheek is hollow and infection can get in if you've got a "snotty" nose, feels like toothache in the side of your face from your jaw to eye socket.

Google sinusitis.

I see. It can be nasty, several cases I have seen we due to impeded circulation in a limb, worth being very wary of.
Yes I think that is my problem, it seems I lost veins in the accident and have quite a few varicose veins appearing in the last few years. Is there much I can do though to take care of it? I went to a support group once and never knew that as many moaners existed in this country so I never went back.

I am afraid that is well beyond my knowledge at this stage, I literally have no clue. It is not something I read much about in textbooks- I know about angioplasty and peripheral artery bypasses in any great detail as yet, but I would guess a vascular consultant would be the person to write to. Your GP might write to them and get them to take a look. I don't know why but cellulitis does seem to crop up where circulation is impaired, I guess it has something to do with the blood supply getting the components of your immune system to the lower layers of skin.

I went to the dentist today, the words “I don’t think I’ve ever mixed this much filling material”, is not what you really want to hear when your in the dentist chair!
