I needed a new one for my jd, after buying some cheapish crap on another jd I just bought an original one. The length is precisely what it needs to be and the thingy for hanging it on the tractor is the right one.
I used hydraulic ones on my old job with big boy cultivators that are a pain to adjust but i prefer manual for my line of work.

Hydraulic top link is one of those things that you don’t think you need, until you have one. After that the idea of pissing on with threads and trying to get the pressure off it to lengthen or shorten it in the field just seems a huge pain in the arse!!
Can agree. First hydraulic top link arrived in year 2000 with used MF390. After that we've only bought hydraulic top links (or rather ordered new tractor with one).

We have a hydraulic top link on't loader tractor and an A frame. Makes life a lot easier. Think it came from Granit and has a check valve fitted in it's pipe work.
If you'd rather get a mandraulic top link try to avoid some of the cheap pattern part makes as their not well made and soon wear out..

If its getting slack in the threads, but everything else is good.
Get the threaded bit swaged a bit tighter if you know someone that does big hydraulic pipe repair, surprising how it tightened up, turn the middle bit as you nip it not to over do it
