Topcon AGI-3 pinout

My GX450 cames from Trimble, and don't appears to output anything to serial port. I would like to configure the AGI-3's NTRIP client to use the ethernet connection.

Thank you
I don't think you can with the internal NTRIP client. Although there's an Ethernet port listed for the AGI-3, I'm pretty sure the NTRIP client only works via the built-in GSM/GPRS radio on the RTK module.

Ok, I undestand. I'm using the built-in GSM link, but my RTK module is 2G/GPRS and the coverage signal for 2G network are coming down. I have a Sierra GX-450 sold by Trimble, but it don't have a internal NTRIP client software inside.

Yes 2G networks are being gradually phased out and shutdown by network operators all around the world.

I think your realistic options are:

- find an external receiver/modem with its own NTRIP client that can stream corrections in via the serial port. e.g. Intuicom Bridge-X (about USD$2200)

- use a Bluetooth serial adapter and stream corrections from your internet connected Android phone or tablet using the free Lefebure Android NTRIP client

- upgrade the complete receiver to a newer unit with an LTE/4G capable modem.

I nicked a diagram of the AGI-3 40-pin connector from one of the troubleshooting support docs on agworld.cc and overload the pin assignments for the two serial ports from there and also from the DigiFarm wiring schematics, labelled them Port "A" and "B".

Looks like the console/screen is ordinarily connected to Port B @ 115,200 bps. So you'd connect an external modem/adapter using Port "A"...
