Topcon agi 3 problem with calibrating

Hi,

we have a topcon autosteer on our tractor. The systeem was working fine but now the monitor cant connect to the unit on the roof. Only when i prees the function button on top unit. After that the gps tells that the tractor need to calibrating the compass and the mounting deviation. After that the gps works fine but when you turn off the system and restart it is the same problem again. Does Someone know what is the problem? Maybe i do something wrong

There is a little battery inside the head unit on top. You need to change it and after that it will be fixed

Don’t suppose you took a picture or is it obvious?

Had similar problem. Had to make sure steering valve and reciever were on when powering up. Solved problem for me..

Top con tells me here it’s at the end of its life and they don’t have parts to repair anymore. So I’m screwed I guess . Gonna have to buy a newer AGI 4

Do they still sell AGI-4? Don't they have a new product now? AGI-4 is in my opinion already an outdated product, only supports GPS and GLONASS. If your screen is compatible with a more modern GNSS receiver, I'd avoid the old ones.

I have had the same problem as described above so took the AGI -3 apart today, the battery is on the bottom side of the main circuit board, I’m going to order one and see if this resolves the problem hope this picture can point you in the right direction @Hank Hill

Would a dead battery cause other symptoms? Ours picks up RTK signal then loses it and goes into float. Just won't fix. Only seeing 8-10 satellites. I know David King used to repair AGI-3's but only do battery replacement now.

Hi ist your AGI 3 ist working again? Ist the battery in the antenna or the modem
