That is what I received from the US support team:
"Agriculture is not using MyTopcon yet. You got in through a loop hole. You were not supposed to be able to register your Ag products or download software. "

Oh really? Lol.. very, very user friendly!

Going to be a free update, just that the update cannot be downloaded from any of the support sites, need to pay for the local support team who transport it with a van to your farm. After all, the SW must be of several kilos. :)

How is this intended to be used:
"It immediately allows the operator to steer the first path around the field and achieve the benefits of Auto Guidance instantly".

Driving around the field until headlands are done? And then AB-lines? You anyway need to record an AB-line or a contour line for the main part of the field? Saves recording of a contour line that follows the headland or something like that?

I understand that Fendt are introducing similar features to VarioGuide compound 783, which was on preview at Agritechnica. Release is due out to dealers in February, bit later than the usual December drop.

The gotcha is that the full suite of changes is only available on machines equipped with the “new” Trimble and NovAtel receiver. Apparently because of ‘limitations’ with Topcon hardware units, they will only see a subset of the upgrades - read between the lines - we are slowly dropping our future feature upgrades and support on AGI4 equipped machines.

I’m waiting to get a list of all the feature updates emailed to me from the Fendt chap I was speaking with.

Would I be able to get that list of updates also. Not much information on agco websites about what’s going on within the updates.
Will do. Chap did email me a hello email after AT and I’m waiting for an update. You’ve reminded me so I’ve sent a chaser.

Here are his details in case it helps:

Thank you for the tag,
You can register your Topcon system online and get access to the latest news etc about Topcon products. Software is also available on this site once registered.
http://www.topconcare.com/
We also offer a service of visiting your site, updating the software if needed then carrying out a full system recalibration ensuring an accurate start to the season. After all, like any system , if it's not calibrated or set up correctly then it won't perform to a high standard.
Our engineers are happy to do this however there is a charge for this service as I'm sure you'll appreciate. My fellow GPS providers such as AS Comms and your John Deere farmsite specialist will also charge if a farm visitbis required. With these system becoming more and more important in reducing operating costs, it really is essential they are set up correctly.

We also offer the option to contract hire the equipment. This offers the customer a system that is always up to date and no hidden costs for a simple fixed monthly fee.
