Just wandering what peoples thoughts are on topcon autosteer? Looking at buying a tractor with it fitted on(uses a motor on the centre of steering wheel). Some people say they struggle for signal?

Not all Topcon autosteer systems are the same, which exact one does this tractor have?

Is it using EGNOS correction signal, Omnistar or RTK?

I don't think there is any noticeable difference between major brand receivers on GNSS (GPS, Glonass, Galileo etc.) signal detection sensitivity. Mainly older ones do not support Galileo and other new birds.

I guess the more significant difference between brands is the support of proprietary correction signals.

You would not need to be concerned about the Topcon sales support and knowledge. Robt here used to be active and good but left this business. I've very much struggled to get a price quote, seems they assume customers making an order first and checking the price from the bill. I also recently asked here about the AGI-4 upgrade for Galileo but got no response. Their website has advertised Galileo support coming since the product was released but nothing so far.

For a good device you do not need dealer support for using features or to fix problems but one would expect some communication capabilities.

As Northern farmer has said, it is all down to the correction source you're using and what's available in your area. If you want any advice on the best setup for your system, LH Agro are the people to speak to - (01480) 496367.
