Topper donut

Have to replace donut shock on topper, how'd I go about it. Does shaft on left come off or do i have to remove gear box

Would say which ever is the easier

Sometimes the short shaft slides a bit when locking bolt or pin is released. Need a picture to see. Slackening gearbox might be enough

You can normally slide the yoke one way on the gearbox then the driveshaft other way on other gearbox enough to slide donut between.
Doesn’t really matter how you do it
